A $1M Guarantee Tournament With No Address

Somewhere outside the Las Vegas spotlight, a series called DCPS just posted two $1,000,000 guaranteed events at $1,100 each — and I can't even tell you what city they're in, because the schedule listing doesn't say.

I pulled the upcoming schedule data this morning. DCPS 2026 Event #37, a $1,100 NLH flight starting June 7. Million-dollar guarantee. Venue name: null. Venue location: null. Then Event #44, a $1,100 NLH Seniors event launching June 11. Another million-dollar guarantee. Same blank fields. No city. No casino. No state.

DCPS 2026 has two $1,000,000 guaranteed tournaments at $1,100 buy-ins — and the schedule aggregator lists no venue name and no city for either one.

The Invisible Seven-Figure Tournament

Let me put this in context. A $1,100 buy-in with a $1M guarantee needs roughly 1,100 entries just to cover the nut — assuming the standard $960 goes to the prize pool. That's a massive field. That's Main-Event-at-a-major-circuit massive. And yet the series is so far off the media radar that the tournament-schedule aggregator doesn't even have basic venue metadata populated.

I'm not here to knock DCPS. If they're guaranteeing seven figures at an $1,100 price point, they're clearly drawing players from somewhere. Good for them. The issue is that poker media — myself included — treats "coverage" like a binary that flips on only when the WSOP or a Triton logo is attached.

The Counter-Argument, and Why It's Wrong

You could argue this is just a data-entry gap — some intern forgot to fill in the venue field and the events are well-known locally. Fine. But that's the point. A million-dollar guarantee shouldn't be "well-known locally." It should be well-known, period. If a circuit is bold enough to attach seven figures to a four-digit buy-in, somebody with a press badge should be paying attention.

The poker ecosystem keeps asking where the next generation of big fields will come from. Maybe they're already here — running events with million-dollar guarantees that don't even have an address in the database.
