Bracelet Winner Akimov Leads WSOPC Montevideo Main Event Final Table
Evgenii Akimov tops a nine-handed final table with 1,015,000 chips at the WSOP Circuit stop at Casino Carrasco Montevideo.

Evgenii Akimov, a WSOP bracelet winner with $3.6 million in career earnings, leads the final table of the WSOPC Casino Carrasco Montevideo $1,700 Main Event with 1,015,000 chips. The Russian pro holds a commanding lead — roughly 350,000 chips clear of second place — as nine players return to chase the gold ring.
Federico Jo Arandia of Peru sits second with 665,000. Uruguayan Lucas Curbelo, playing on home soil, is third at 490,000.
Two Argentines round out the top five. Gonzalo Matias Velozo Paz, himself a WSOPC ring holder with $169,923 in lifetime cashes, has 415,000. Mariano Sebastian Balfagon, a WSOP bracelet winner with $266,904 in career earnings, is fifth at 379,000.
The final table features three players with WSOP hardware — Akimov and Balfagon each own a bracelet, Velozo Paz holds a ring — making this one of the more decorated Circuit final tables outside the United States this year.
Akimov's three career final-table appearances include the run that produced his bracelet. A win in Montevideo would add a gold ring to his résumé and push his lifetime earnings past $3.7 million.
