Durango Loads $3.5M in Guarantees While the Strip Grinds Satellites
The DCPS is running five six-figure-plus events across the next two weeks, headlined by a $2,200 PLO Bounty firing July 6.

While the Horseshoe grinds through satellites, the Durango Casino is quietly loading the most aggressive guarantee schedule of any off-Strip property this month.
Five DCPS 2026 events carrying combined guarantees north of $3.5 million are stacked into a 13-day window starting July 6. For a property that opened in late 2023, the numbers read like a Strip venue punching above its square footage.
The PLO Bounty Opens the Run
DCPS Event #82, a $2,200 PLO Bounty, fires at 2:10 p.m. PT on July 6. It carries a $500,000 guarantee across two days of play. At that buy-in, it's the richest off-Strip PLO event on the current Vegas schedule.
At $2,200, it's the richest off-Strip PLO event on the current Vegas schedule.
Three $1M Guarantees in Nine Days
The real weight lands the following week. DCPS Event #83, a $1,100 NLH Seniors event, kicks off July 10 with a $1,000,000 guarantee. Four days later, Event #87 wraps: a $1,100 NLH MSPT that also guarantees $1,000,000, with Day 1 flights feeding into a Day 2 on July 14.
Then on July 18, Event #91 steps the buy-in up to $1,600 for another $1,000,000-guaranteed NLH MSPT.
Three separate million-dollar guarantees from one off-Strip room in under nine days. That's the kind of volume you'd normally associate with the Venetian or Resorts World during peak WSOP season.
What to Watch
The PLO Bounty is the canary. If it clears its $500K guarantee at a $2,200 price point, it signals that the Durango player pool can sustain buy-ins well above the typical $400-$600 off-Strip range. That has implications for every MSPT flight that follows.
All five events run through July 18.
