Event #29's $5M Guarantee Is a Fantasy Ceiling Machine

A $5 million guarantee at $3,500 buy-in means one thing for 25kFantasy rosters: the single highest scoring ceiling left on the summer schedule before the Main Event.

Event #29 ($3,500 NLH, $5M GTD) has already fired Day 1A and Day 1B. Day 1C launches June 13 at noon PT, with Day 1D following on June 14. That's two more flights for players who haven't entered yet, and two more chances for your roster to catch exposure to a prize pool that rewards deep runs like almost nothing else this summer.

A first-place cash north of $700K would translate to roughly 200+ ODB fantasy points, making Event #29 the fattest single-event ceiling between now and the Main.

Why the $5M Number Matters for Scoring

Fantasy scoring at 25kFantasy is driven by cash amounts, not finishing position. That distinction is everything here. A $5,000,000 guaranteed prize pool at $3,500 buy-in will attract somewhere around 1,500 to 2,000 entries across four flights. At that field size, first place projects above $700,000.

Run that through ODB projections and you're looking at north of 200 fantasy points for a winner. Even a min-cash (likely in the $5,500 to $6,500 range depending on entries) adds meaningful points to a roster that needs volume. But the real value is in the top 18. Anyone who final-tables this event is looking at a six-figure score, which in fantasy terms translates to 80+ points at the low end.

For comparison: a $1,500 buy-in event with a $2M prize pool tops out around 120 fantasy points for first. Event #29 nearly doubles that ceiling.

The Weekend Slate Around It

Event #29 doesn't exist in isolation. The weekend of June 12-14 features 25 tournaments on the schedule, including:

• $3,500 NLH Day 1B ($5M GTD) firing June 12
• $3,500 NLH Day 1C ($5M GTD) firing June 13
• $3,500 NLH Day 1D ($5M GTD) firing June 14
• NLH Final Table ($2M GTD, $1,430 buy-in) on June 12
• DCPS #44 $1,100 NLH Seniors ($1M GTD) with Day 1B and 1C still to fire

That's a lot of overlap. Players on your roster who are active grinders will likely fire Event #29 and satellite into other events on the slate. The question for fantasy managers is concentration risk: if you have four or five roster players all in the same $3,500 field, a Day 2 bust-out wipes all of them simultaneously.

The flip side? If one of your guys runs deep while the rest of the field's rosters have zero exposure to this event, the gap on the leaderboard gets ugly fast.

What to Watch For

Three things matter between now and Day 2:

1. Which roster players fire which flight. Day 1C and 1D are the high-volume flights historically. Grinders who skipped 1A and 1B are likely waiting for one of these two.

2. Multi-entry concentration. At $3,175 effective buy-in (after fees), some players will fire multiple flights. Each entry is a new lottery ticket for your roster. Track who re-enters.

3. The $2M NLH Final Table running concurrently. Some roster players may be returning for that final table on June 12 instead of firing Event #29 Day 1B. If your player is already at a final table, they're not in the $3,500 field.

The bottom line: Event #29 is the biggest fantasy swing event of the next seven days. If your roster is loaded with players who typically fire $3,500 buy-ins, you're positioned. If your roster skews toward low-stakes grinders, this is the event where the gap opens.
