At 2:35 AM at the Horseshoe, four separate WSOP events were playing down toward final tables within 200 feet of each other.

Events #169, #172, #173, and #174 โ€” a $250 daily deepstack, a $1,100 Seven Card Stud mega satellite, a $200 daily deepstack, and a $135 NLH mega satellite โ€” all hit two tables or fewer before sunrise on June 5. The overnight grind is a WSOP fixture, but four simultaneous late-night endgames under one roof is a different kind of scene.

The $1,100 Stud Satellite Had the Heaviest Table

Event #172, the $1,100 Seven Card Stud Landmark Mega Satellite, reached its final table of nine around 2:05 AM. That table carried credentials.

Justin Lapka โ€” two bracelets, four rings, $1.66M in lifetime earnings, and 26 career final tables โ€” sat among the nine. So did Matthew Beinner, who holds two rings and $1.22M in career cashes across seven final tables. Matthew Grapenthien, a one-bracelet winner with $924K in lifetime earnings and nine final tables, rounded out a trio that had combined for over $3.8M in career tournament results.

Sean Akhavi ($50K in lifetime earnings, two final tables) and Burke Delange also made the nine-handed final.

The $250 Deepstack Went Seven-Handed

Event #169, the $250 Daily Deepstack NLH, reached its final table around 2:35 AM โ€” but only seven players remained by the time it was officially called.

Nissar Quraishi led the names. He has $210K in lifetime earnings and three career final tables. Rajagopal Sankaranarayanan, who holds one WSOPC ring and $38K in cashes, was also among the seven. Yu-Tang Wang of Taiwan, who had been sitting on 690K in chips when the event was at two tables, made the final group alongside Rodney Knighten and Richard Gilliam.

The $135 Mega Satellite Was First to Nine

Event #174, the $135 Daily NLH Landmark Mega Satellite, moved fastest. It was down to 14 players by around midnight and reached its nine-handed final table roughly 30 minutes later.

Colbey Madewell stood out: one WSOPC ring, $117K in lifetime earnings, three career final tables. Yingge Yan of China ($30K in cashes) and Italy's Claudio Martin also sat among the nine. Cole McNeal, Eric Sanders, and Carlos Hernandez of Panama ($24K lifetime, three final tables) filled out the field.

The $200 Deepstack Was Still Grinding at Two Tables

Event #173, the $200 Daily Deepstack NLH, was the last of the four to consolidate. It sat at 16 players โ€” two tables โ€” at around 2:50 AM and was still playing at that stage as the other three events moved to single tables.

Xinze Li of China ($44K in lifetime cashes) and Germany's Tim Wachowiak were among the 16 remaining. Mexico's Kevin Olvera and Brazil's Milton Correa added to the international mix at the last two tables.

Four events. One building. No sunlight. That's the Horseshoe at WSOP.
