Thomas Freese Wins $400 Double Stack Closer, Caps WSOPC Caesars New Orleans
Freese earned his first WSOP Circuit ring in the final event of the Caesars New Orleans stop.

Thomas Freese closed out the WSOP Circuit stop at Caesars New Orleans by winning Event #18, the $400 No-Limit Hold'em Double Stack Closer — his first career ring.
Freese, from the U.S., entered the event with zero bracelets, zero rings, and no recorded WSOP lifetime earnings — making this a breakout result by any measure.
The final table featured a mix of low-profile grinders. Danny Chang, a one-ring Circuit veteran with $95,918 in lifetime earnings and two career final tables, was the most credentialed player at the table. James Morris ($10,660 lifetime) and Melissa Bradley ($873 lifetime) also made the final group, along with Stanley Seelig.

Event #18 was the last ring event on the Caesars New Orleans schedule, closing a full Circuit stop that ran 18 numbered events at the property. The WSOPC series continues at other Caesars venues through the year as the summer bracelet series in Las Vegas approaches.
