The international flavor is hard to miss. Junichi Murakami (Japan) has 2,700,000, and Australia's Mark Leslie sits at 1,800,000. None of the top five stacks hold a prior bracelet or ring. This is a wide-open race for a first piece of WSOP hardware.

The Satellite: Event #409

Across the room, the $585 NLH Landmark Mega Satellite has ground from over 100 entries down to its final 25. No chip counts are posted — satellite math doesn't care about stack size until you're on the stone-cold bubble.

The survivors include Dylon Jackson, Ivan Skopintsev, Jeffrey Meigs, Seiji Horiguchi, and Hugo Tavares Dos Santos, representing five different countries. For all of them, the goal isn't a trophy. It's a seat.
