Zouaghi Wins WSOPC Playground High Roller for First Ring

Rafik Zouaghi earned his first WSOP Circuit ring overnight, outlasting a final table that included a five-time bracelet winner to take the $5,000 Mega Stack High Roller at the WSOPC Playground stop in Montreal.

Zouaghi, a Canadian with $96,615 in lifetime tournament earnings entering the event, defeated a stacked final table headlined by Allen Li Xin Shen — a six-ring, five-bracelet veteran with over $1.1M in career cashes and 56 lifetime final tables. William Blais, who brought nearly $943K in lifetime earnings to the table, finished in the top three alongside Behnam Patros ($310K in career cashes) and Luke Norval.

Mystery Bounty Goes to Younguk Jo

The $1,000 NLH Mystery Bounty — the other final table completing on the stop's closing night — was won by Younguk Jo of Canada. William Mclean, John Yang Huynh, Hratch Yerevanian, and Ireland's Sean Godley rounded out the final-table finishers. Prize pool and payout details have not yet been published by the WSOP.

The Playground stop was one of the busier WSOPC stops on the 2026 calendar, running 17 numbered events at the Montreal cardroom. Official final results and payouts are expected on WSOP.com.
