DCPS Posts Two $1M-Guarantee NLH Events for June

The Durango Championship Poker Series has posted two $1,100 NLH events in June, each carrying a $1 million guarantee — positioning itself as a direct alternative for players looking beyond the WSOP bracelet schedule.

DCPS Event #37, a $1,100 NLH, opens its first starting flight on June 9. Event #44, a $1,100 NLH Seniors event, begins June 13. Both list a $960 net buy-in with identical $1M guarantees, per the published tournament schedule.

The timing is deliberate. Both events fall squarely during the early weeks of the WSOP's main summer series, when thousands of players are already in Las Vegas hunting for value at similar price points. A $1,100 buy-in with a million-dollar guarantee is competitive with — and in some cases richer than — comparable WSOP non-bracelet and daily deep-stack offerings.

The Seniors event adds a wrinkle. Age-restricted tournaments at this guarantee level are uncommon outside the WSOP itself, where the $1,000 Seniors Championship is one of the largest-field events on the summer calendar. DCPS is betting there's enough demand to support a standalone $1M seniors guarantee at Durango.
