Ido Shamriz Leads the $400 Daily Deepstack With 68K and 16 Left
An Israeli player with zero recorded WSOP cashes sits atop the chip counts past 1 AM in Event #387.

Ido Shamriz flew from Israel to Las Vegas to play a $400 daily deepstack, and right now β past 1 AM at the Horseshoe β he's the chip leader with 68,000 and two tables left in Event #387.
His recorded WSOP history: nothing. No cashes, no final tables, no lifetime earnings on file. The WSOP database lists him as a ghost. And he's running the tournament.

The Field at Two Tables
Sixteen players remain. The field has been whittled from a full deepstack starting flight down to a pair of eight-handed tables, and the names still alive tell the story of who actually plays these $400 dailies at 1 AM in July.
Shamriz isn't the only Israeli still in β Roi Maman, also with no recorded earnings, busted between the 21-player and 16-player counts. But the field isn't all unknowns.
Jasthi Kumar is still alive with 16 left. Kumar has five WSOP Circuit rings, 25 career final tables, and $809,465 in lifetime earnings. He's the most credentialed player remaining by a wide margin β and he's not the chip leader.
Earlier at 21 players, Jose Isea Torres held the top stack at 590,000 chips β a massive lead at that stage. Torres has just $1,573 in recorded lifetime earnings. Sung Lee, with $511,783 in career cashes and four final tables, was also still in at 21 but appears to have fallen by the time the field hit 16.
Why It's Worth Watching
This is the WSOP at its most democratic. A $400 buy-in, a 1 AM chip-leader board, and the guy on top is someone who doesn't exist in the database. The most decorated player left β Kumar, with nearly $810K lifetime β isn't leading. The previous chip leader had $1,573 to his name.
No bracelet on the line here, just a daily deepstack payout. But for Shamriz, whatever's waiting at the top of this structure is his first recorded WSOP cash, period.
Play is ongoing at the Horseshoe. Expect a final table within the hour.
