Overnight at the Horseshoe: Three Bracelet Events Hit Final Stages

Three WSOP bracelet events reached their final stages overnight at the Horseshoe, each carrying a different kind of storyline.

Monster Stack Final Table Set

Event #18, the $1,500 Monster Stack, is down to its final nine. Andrew Moreno — $4.07M in lifetime earnings, 20 career final tables, zero bracelets — is among them. Matthew Miller, a two-time WSOPC ring winner with $177K in career cashes, bagged 44.9M in chips. Also at the final table: She Wong, a one-time Circuit ring winner with $268K in lifetime earnings, and France's Arthur Teisseire.

Limit Hold'em Down to Nine

Event #30, the $1,500 Limit Hold'em 7-Handed, also set its final table. Vo Ngo leads with 3.015M in chips. The name to watch: Patrick Leonard, the British pro with $1.39M in lifetime earnings and five career final tables, who sits on 605K. Thomas Miressi (865K) and Joseph Schreck (670K) round out the middle of the pack. None of the nine finalists hold a bracelet.

$50K High Roller: 17 Left, Breck Leads

Event #29, the $50,000 High Roller 8-Handed, is down to its final 17 players — two tables. Brian Breck, an American with just $106K in lifetime tournament earnings, leads with 4.565M in chips. Behind him: Colin Robinson (2.7M chips, one bracelet, $2.06M career), Fabian Gumz (2.275M chips, $2.24M career, nine final tables), and Chang Lee (1.685M chips, one bracelet, $2.76M career). Pieter Aerts, a Belgian with $332K in lifetime cashes and one prior final table, sits on 1.375M.
