WSOPC Horseshoe Las Vegas Opens With $400 Mini Main, 18 Survive Day 1A

The WSOP Circuit stop at Horseshoe Las Vegas — operating under the same roof as the 57th annual World Series of Poker — played its $400 Mini Main Event down to 18 survivors on Day 1A, with at least one more starting flight still to come.

The overlap is unusual. While the main WSOP series awards gold bracelets upstairs, the Circuit stop is running its own schedule of ring events in the same property. The $400 Mini Main is Event #1 of the WSOPC Horseshoe Las Vegas series.

Who's Still In

Among the 18 players returning from Day 1A, the largest résumé belongs to Venkata Tayi, a U.S.-based player with $315,488 in lifetime tournament earnings and three prior final tables. Warlito Paz, the only ring holder in the remaining field, has one WSOPC ring and $35,675 in career cashes. Germany's Sven Meschede and Mikhail Sniatovskii ($62,482 in lifetime earnings, one final table) also survived.

Chip counts have not yet been reported — the signal confirms only that 18 players remain across two tables.

What's Next

At least one additional Day 1 flight will run before the surviving stacks combine for Day 2. The winner takes home a WSOPC gold ring — not a bracelet. The distinction matters: Circuit rings are awarded at year-round Caesars properties, while bracelets are exclusive to the main WSOP summer series and its international stops.
